Thanks to live broadcasts on the TV Channel INTER the recent visit of Patriarch Kirill to Ukraine was closely followed by more than 20 million people. The TV Channel INTER highlighted the first pastoral trip of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to Ukraine starting from July 27 till August 5. The live broadcasts of the events taking place within the frameworks of the Russian Orthodox Church Primate's stay in our country sparked huge interest of the Ukraine's television's audience. (See Table 1)
In the morning programmes of the TV Channel INTER there were five broadcasts of the religious services with participation of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
July 27 – prayer service at the Volodymyr's Hill near the monument to Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Prince Volodymyr,
July 28, 30 and August 2, 5 – Patriarch's Divine Liturgies at the Holy Dormition Kyiv Cave Monastery, the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra, the Cathedral of St. Volodymyr in Khersones, and Pochayiv Lavra Monastery.
In aggregate, the broadcasts of the TV Channel INTER kept over 20 million people glued to their television screens.
On Tuesday, July 28 the TV Channel hosted a live interview with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. This special programme of clerical and instructional nature attracted the broadest possible audience ever: the broadcast share for the audience 18+ in cities with the population of over 50 thousand people made up 29,7%, and throughout Ukraine 30,4%. This exceeds not only the program rating indices of the other main channels of the Ukrainian television but average indices of the TV Channel INTER in this slot as well.

The highest ratings of viewing at this time were also enjoyed by all the news bulletins on the TV Channel INTER and, of course, by the main news programme 'Podrobnosti', which covered all the points of Patriarch's stay in Ukraine.
The 'Podrobnosti' programme at the time of the Patriarch's visit was watched by each tenth adult citizen or each third television viewer in Ukraine. (See Table 2)
