Ukrainian News Agency Enters U.A. Inter Media Group

Kyiv, February 5, 2008 - Ukrainian News (www.ukranews.com), the leading news agency, has joined U.A. Inter Media Group Limited, Ukraine's largest media group.

The agency joined U.A. Inter Media Group following the purchase of 99 percent of its statutory fund by Ukrainian Media Project LLC, which is a 100% subsidiary of U.A. Inter Media Group Limited, and the purchase of 1 of the Agency's statutory fund directly by U.A. Inter Media Group Limited.

The joining became possible due to the purchase of 50% of the agency's statutory fund. As the agency reported, Ukrainian News entered the mass media market in 1993. At present, the agency is the leading provider of business, financial and political news in Ukraine.

 

U.A. Inter Media Group Limited (www.uaimg.com) was established in 2005. The Group owns 61 percent of "Ukrainian Independent Television Corporation" (TV channel "Inter"), 90 percent of "Kino-TV" (TV channel "Enter Film"), 90 percent of "Muzyka-TV" (TV channel "Enter Music"), TV channels "K1", "K2", "Megasport", 60 percent of TV channel "NTN" and other media assets.
