K1 Channel Soars to the 5th Position Among Top-10 Channels

The K1 TV Channel has garnered the record share of viewers (7.3%) for the whole period of its existence in the television space, thus ranking the 6th among the channels in the target audience 14-49.      

On Friday, November 13th, K1 set an all-time record since it went on air, reaching 7.3% in the average daily target audience share, which is one-third more than the previous record set by the channel less than a month ago when on October 25th, 2009 its share made up 5.4%. 

Due to the successful film showing and the programme 'Vecherny Kvartal', the K1 Channel has gone up to the 5th position in the prime time with the share of 8.2%. Therefore, the channel has overtaken not only the TRK Ukraine, whose share in the prime slot in the 14-49 age group was twice lower (4.4%), but also the ICTV channel with its share of 7.6% in the same audience.

On Friday the TV Channel K1 broadcasted the film 'The Da Vinci Code', which had the share of 11.2% in the target audience of 14-49. During the peaks the film had more than one-fourth of the whole television audience. The rating of the film made up 2.6% of viewers.
   
No less successful was the 'Vecherny Kvartal' programme, which in the prime slot had 10.3% of the viewers glued to their screens. The programme rating reached 3.6%. The channel has closely approached the first ten of the most popular programmes of the day, giving in by only 0.06% to the series 'Daddy's Daughters' on the New Channel. The film 'The Da Vinci Code' closes the ratings of the 20 most successful programmes of the day.
