Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy

Born on January 1, 1969, in Kiev.

From December 24, 2007 – head of State Customs Service of Ukraine.

Mr. Khoroshkovskiy is the founder of "Merks" group. He is a junior partner of the Russian holding group "Evraz", the operating company is "Evrazholding" Ltd.

December 2002 - January 2004 – a Member of the Ukrainian Cabinet in the post of the Secretary of Economy and European Integration.

August 2002 - December 2002 – Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine.

2001 – left National Democratic Party (NDP) of Ukraine and began organizing his own political association named "Team of Winter Generation" (TWG). In the elections of 2002 TWG received 2.02 percent of the electoral votes.

1996-2001 – a member of the Policy Council of NDP.

1998-2001 – a Member of Parliament of Ukraine.

Graduated with a degree in jurisprudence from the Faculty of Law of Kyiv National University of T. Shevchenko (1994). Mr. Khoroshkovskiy also has a PhD in Economics.
